If you are moved by the spirit of volunteering and are looking for a way to contribute to the community or want to participate in social activism for the benefit of families of special needs children-Kesher is your home and the door is always open. We at Kesher believe that people make the difference and are happy to greet each one who chooses to join and act together with us. We have many volunteers that do significant and interesting work and we are grateful to them.
At Kesher, we have a number of tracks for volunteers and we will be glad to speak with you personally and formulate an appropriate path for your integration into our organization’s activities. We will also be happy for assistance with logistical and administrative tasks at the local offices or in conjunction with our annual event. We are always in need of help in the upkeep of the offices, in acquiring information for our data base, for our internet campaigns, for providing advice at our information centers and for organizing activities for our families. If you are professionals, we would be happy to receive legal, medical or psychological aid for our families.
If you belong to a special family , we would be happy to receive your help in recruiting additional families to our organization and to have you participate in the various projects of the organization such as “chosen siblings” or “parent to parent” that allow family members to meet each other and to cope with the challenges together. In addition, we would like to propose that you write about your experiences as parents of children with special needs and to publish articles on Kesher’s new site with the goal of having other families learn from your experience and of sharing emotions that arise along the way on our journey as special parents.
